What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting and engaging with children aged 9 months to 5 years. ๐Ÿงธ

  • Collaborating closely with parents and carers to ensure every child's unique needs are understood and met. ๐Ÿค
  • Working hand-in-hand with families to support their child's growth journey. ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ
  • Keeping our manager informed about anything concerning the well-being and safety of our children, parents, or the nursery environment. ๐Ÿคซ
  • Delivering fun and stimulating learning experiences tailored to each child. ๐Ÿง 
  • Championing child safety and knowing our child protection procedures inside out. ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ
  • Being a proactive part of team meetings, supervision, and appraisals. ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ
  • Taking initiative in your personal development and attending training sessions. ๐Ÿ“š

What you'll need:

  • A genuine passion for early years and helping children learn and grow. ๐ŸŒฑ
  • To pass a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. โœ…
  • Eligibility to undertake an Early Years Educator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard. ๐ŸŽ“

Key responsibilities

  • Act as a key person to a small group of children.
  • Liaise closely and build an effective relationship with parents/carers.
  • Teach children, offering an appropriate level of support and stimulating play experiences.
  • Ensure children are kept safe and understand when to follow child protection procedures.
  • Advise the manager of any concerns, preserving confidentiality as necessary.
