Role: Information Communication Technician L3 - Cloud Network Specialist ☁️

Yearly Salary: £25,185 💰

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week ⏰

What You'll Be Doing:

You'll be the go-to person for tech support, helping out staff and students across all our schools. 🤝 Your mission? To fix IT issues fast, keep our systems running smoothly, and learn a ton about different tech along the way with awesome mentoring.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Jumping in to fix IT problems and keep equipment in check. ✅
  • Installing and updating software when needed. ⬆️
  • Helping with basic network tasks like patching and cabling. 🔌
  • Managing users and settings in Active Directory. 🧑‍💻
  • Keeping our IT equipment records up-to-date. 📄
  • Setting up IT gear and digital displays. 🖥️
  • Giving staff and students tips on how to use tech. 💡
  • Assisting users with everyday software across different devices. 📱
  • Keeping track of spare parts and accessories. 📦
  • Updating digital signage with cool content. 🖼️
  • Monitoring daily backups and system alerts. 🚨

Skills You'll Need:

  • A serious passion for a career in ICT! 🔥
  • Some hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems. 🪟
  • Know-how in PC maintenance and upgrades. 🛠️
  • Awesome communication skills – you can explain tech stuff to anyone! 🗣️
  • The ability to work independently and manage your time like a pro. ⏱️

Bonus Points (Nice to Have):

  • Experience with Windows Server. 👑
  • Basic understanding of network concepts (IP addressing, DNS, DHCP). 🌐
  • Familiarity with other operating systems and software. 🍎
  • Knowledge of backup technologies. 💾
  • Insights into web and mail filtering. 📧
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace. ☁️

Entry Requirements:

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject. 📚
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above). 💯

*Note: You shouldn't have an existing qualification at the same or a higher level in a similar subject.*

Key responsibilities

  • Assist with day-to-day maintenance, problem solving and fault resolution of all IT-related equipment.
  • Install and update software as needed.
  • Undertake basic network patching/cabling tasks.
  • Perform Active Directory user, group and policy management tasks.
  • Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all ICT related equipment via the Trusts online asset management system.
