Fire Pump Service Engineer Apprentice 🚀

Location: Office base Ascot – Mobile role covering London & South East (M25, Essex, Kent & Suffolk) 🌍

Role Snapshot: Ready to dive into a career that saves lives? 🔥 We're looking for ambitious individuals to join our Ascot team as Fire Pump Service Engineer Apprentices! You'll get top-notch training to become a pro at maintaining, fixing, and fault-finding Sprinkler Fire Pumps. This is your chance to snag some seriously niche skills in the fire sprinkler world! 🛠️

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Learning from the best lead engineers, getting hands-on experience daily, plus a dedicated study day each week towards your qualification. 📚
  • Helping install and commission fire pump systems at client sites. 📍
  • Servicing, maintaining, and repairing fire pump systems and all their cool associated gear.
  • Tackling general electrical and mechanical tasks to make sure our pump systems are running flawlessly.
  • Getting into confined spaces and other areas where the action happens to get the job done. 👷
  • Keeping our company van stocked and logging all parts used on job reports. 📊
  • Traveling across the UK to support our awesome customers alongside our experienced and fellow trainee engineers. ✈️
  • Participating in all the safety and development training courses you need to excel. ✅

What You'll Need to Bring:

  • 3 GCSEs at Grade C (4) or above, including Maths, English & Science (a must!). 💯
  • Comfortable with ICT. 💻
  • A Full UK Driving Licence (super helpful!). 🚗
  • A genuine curiosity for how things work, a passion for fixing stuff, and a knack for problem-solving (essential!). 🤔
  • Experience with diesel engines is a bonus, but not required – we'll train you!
  • Great people skills to chat with clients and your teammates. 🗣️
  • The drive to take initiative, be curious, and ask questions (seriously, we love questions!).
  • Sharp attention to detail for writing clear job reports. ✍️
  • A real eagerness to start an apprenticeship and jump into the Fire Engineering industry. 🌱

Your Apprenticeship Journey:

Over 42 months, you'll work towards a Level 3 Engineering Fitter qualification. Your training will be online, accessible anytime, and assessed through assignments, observations, and a portfolio. When you're not studying, you'll be on-site with our pros, doing the real job of a Fire Pump Service Engineer. You'll be expected to travel and juggle your time like a champ to ace both your studies and your role. 🏆

  • Salary: £18,000 per year. 💰
  • Holidays: 25 days plus bank holidays, with the option to buy 5 extra or sell 2. 🏖️
