What You'll Do:

As a BSTT apprentice, you'll dive deep into the world of bulk liquid terminal operations. Your training will be comprehensive, covering everything from plant maintenance and system operation to the crucial aspects of process safety. You'll gain hands-on experience with:

  • Routine operation and maintenance of fuel storage plant and equipment πŸ› οΈ
  • Pumping systems and their intricate configurations πŸ’§
  • Operating Oil/Water separators
  • Collaborating with the team to manage the receipt and issue of petroleum products β›½
  • Rigging, hose testing, and slinging operations πŸ”—
  • Manual tank dipping and accurate product sampling πŸ”¬
  • Precise fuel measurement πŸ“
  • Operating a variety of machinery and pumps 🚜

What You'll Learn:

You'll be mentored by industry experts from Reynolds Training Services, earning a nationally recognised apprenticeship standard. We'll equip you with all the necessary technical certificates and:

  • In-depth knowledge of Terminal Operations πŸ’―
  • Crucial insights into working on a COMAH Bulk Liquid Operational Site
  • Valuable understanding of Process Safety study techniques, COMAH regulations, Human Factors, and Functional Safety πŸ’‘
  • A strong foundation in safety culture and effective teamwork 🀝

Your Development Journey:

  • Year 1: Primarily based at the Depot and the HCF Catch Training Facility in Immingham, with required block weeks at the training centre. 🏫
  • Year 2: Mainly at OFD Loch Ewe under a mentorship programme, with allocated weeks each month back at Catch Training Facility in Immingham. πŸ”„
