Ready to kickstart your career in engineering design? British Sugar, a powerhouse in sugar production, is seeking motivated individuals for our Draughtsperson Apprenticeship! We're a home-grown success story, transforming millions of tonnes of sugar beet into over 1 million tonnes of sugar annually, serving customers across the UK, Ireland, and beyond. 🌍

This 48-month apprenticeship will immerse you in the fascinating world of engineering design and draughting. You'll dive deep into the science behind how we produce sugar and learn to create precise designs and drawings for our projects, structures, piping, and engineering components. ✏️

Upon successful completion, you'll earn a Level 3 Draughtsperson qualification, armed with invaluable practical experience ready for a Project Draughtsperson role. We encourage continuous learning, with opportunities to pursue further relevant qualifications post-apprenticeship. 📚

Your Apprenticeship Journey:

  • Location: Cantley factory site 📍
  • Schedule: 5 days a week (Monday-Friday), 8 hours per day, with 1 day per week dedicated to college attendance. 🗓️

What You'll Need:

  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade 5/C or above, including Mathematics (Level 5 preferred), English, and a Science or Technical subject. 💯
  • The ability to travel to our workplace and to college. 🚗💨
