Power Generation Operations Apprentice ⚡️
Location: Wissington 📍
Salary: £23,877 per year 💰
Contract: 30-month apprenticeship 📅
This isn't just any apprenticeship; it's your chance to dive into the world of industrial power generation. You'll be following a Process Engineering pathway, getting hands-on experience with cutting-edge technology, from gas turbines to distillation. 🔬⚙️
What you'll learn:
- The science and tech behind large-scale power generation.
- How to safely and efficiently operate and maintain our advanced process plant and equipment.
- The ins and outs of key operational functions like Extraction, Refinery, Pulp Management, Energy, Co-Products, and Customer Supply.
- Develop essential team working and problem-solving skills. 💪
What you'll achieve:
- A 30-month learning program based on the Science Manufacturing Technician Standard.
- A Level 3 Process Technology qualification.
- Invaluable practical experience, preparing you for a Process Technician role. 🚀
Your shifts:
- Work at our Wissington factory on a 12-hour shift pattern: 4 days on, 4 days off.
- This includes some weekend and bank holiday working. 🗓️
What you'll need:
- To be 18+ by September 1, 2024. ✅
- Eligibility to work in the UK. 🇬🇧
- At least 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade 4/C, including Maths, English, and Science. 📚
- Reliable transport to get to work and college. 🚗

Key responsibilities
- Learn the science and technology of industrial scale power generation.
- Control, operate and maintain process plant and equipment safely, efficiently and economically.
- Follow the Science Manufacturing Technician Standard, achieving a Level 3 Process Technology qualification.
- Understand and apply systems and procedures for safe and efficient work.
- Develop behavioural skills to be an effective team member.
